Journal ArticleDOI
Geostatistical modelling of chemical residues on archaeological floors in the presence of barriers
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed the use of cost-based distances to quantify the correlation between locations, a solution which has proved to be a practical alternative approach for archaeological intrasite analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spatial patterning and occupation dynamics during the Early Holocene in an archaeological site from the south coast of Tierra del Fuego: Binushmuka I
Atilio Francisco Javier Zangrando,Hein Bjartmann Bjerck,Ernesto Luis Piana,Heidi Mjelva Breivik,Angelica Montserrat Tivoli,Joan Negre +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors explore the implications of the spatial structure of the artifact assemblages at the Binushmuka I site, located in the north coast of the Beagle Channel (Tierra del Fuego), considering the expectations derived from ethno-archaeological models concerning settlement patterns, which mainly depend on the number and duration of the occupations and the size of the group.

An Ethnoarchaeological Study on Anthropic Markers from a Shell-midden in Tierra del Fuego (Southern Argentina): Lanashuaia II
TL;DR: In this paper, the first results of an intrasite spatial analysis on a layer from the site Lanashuaia II, a shell-midden located on the Beagle Channel coast (Tierra del Fuego, Argentina), were presented.
