espanolAntecedentes: la Comision Internacional de Test (ITC) propuso una serie de directrices para mejorar la calidad de la traduccion y adaptacion de los test y, consecuentemente, mejorar la comparabilidad de las puntuaciones a traves de distintas culturas. Aunque estas directrices son bien conocidas, no se aplican tan frecuentemente como seria deseable. Este trabajo propone un listado de verificacion de los criterios de cumplimiento asociados a las directrices de la ITC, que faciliten su implementacion y sirvan de modelo para evaluar la calidad de las adaptaciones realizadas. Metodo: cada directriz de la ITC se operacionalizo a traves de distintos criterios. Para cada criterio se propusieron niveles de aceptabilidad y excelencia. El listado inicial propuesto fue revisado por un panel de 12 expertos en el area de medicion y adaptacion de test. La version resultante fue aplicada a dos test por dos pares de revisores independientes. Resultados: el listado final de verificacion del grado de cumplimiento de las directrices consistio en 29 criterios que cubren todas las fases del proceso de adaptacion de un test: planificacion, desarrollo, confirmacion, administracion, interpretacion de las puntuaciones y documentacion. Conclusiones: se espera que el listado propuesto ayude a mejorar la calidad de los test adaptados. EnglishBackground: To improve the quality of test translation and adaptation, and hence the comparability of scores across cultures, the International Test Commission (ITC) proposed a number of guidelines for the adaptation process. Although these guidelines are well-known, they are not implemented as often as they should be. One possible reason for this is the broad scope of the guidelines, which makes them difficult to apply in practice. The goal of this study was therefore to draw up an evaluative criterion checklist that would help test adapters to implement the ITC recommendations and which would serve as a model for assessing the quality of test adaptations. Method: Each ITC guideline was operationalized through a number of criteria. For each criterion, acceptable and excellent levels of accomplishment were proposed. The initial checklist was then reviewed by a panel of 12 experts in testing and test adaptation. The resulting checklist was applied to two different tests by two pairs of independent reviewers. Results: The final evaluative checklist consisted of 29 criteria covering all phases of test adaptation: planning, development, confirmation, administration, score interpretation, and documentation. Conclusions: We believe that the proposed evaluative checklist will help to improve the quality of test adaptation.

International Test Commission guidelines for test adaptation: A criterion checklist.

A number of empirical studies have shown a positive influence of employment stability on job satisfaction. Employment stability, usually measured by the type of contract an individual has, may affect one’s job satisfaction directly, as well as through its impact on other relative variables, such as job security, since a stable position seems to bring individuals a sense of security. The aim of our research is to investigate the relationships between job security, employment stability and job satisfaction of workers in Poland. In the study, we strive to show how these factors impact knowledge workers and other workers differently. In order to conduct analysis, we propose two logistic models, separate for these two groups, with job satisfaction as a dependent variable and type of contract and three items denoting different dimensions of job insecurity: an insecure source of income, too many duties to cope with and being treated unjustly at the workplace, as independent variables. The robustness of the models has been defended by the introduction of the time dimension. The results show that job insecurity is the most influential factor in the model of job satisfaction for all employees. However, this impact differs depending on the employment arrangements. Flexible workers are much more vulnerable to job insecurities in terms of job satisfaction. Another finding is that the job satisfaction of knowledge workers is more influenced by job security.

Employment Flexibility and Job Security as Determinants of Job Satisfaction: The Case of Polish Knowledge Workers

In the last decades Catalonia has become one of the main European tourism destinations. In this context, a change in the economic activity’s paradigm based on investment and use of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has been observed. By analysing a sample of tourist companies in Catalonia, this article corroborates the positive relation between ICT uses, innovation and labour productivity in tourism.

espanolAntecedentes: una revision de la literatura revela que no existen instrumentos de medida del job crafting en lengua espanola. Este articulo presenta la traduccion, adaptacion y validacion de una escala para medir el comportamiento del job crafting (Spanish Job Crafting Scale -SJCS; Tims, Bakker, & Derks, 2012). Metodo: la escala fue aplicada a una muestra de 896 empleados (52,6% mujeres y 47,4% hombres). Se han testeado la fi abilidad y la validez factorial de un instrumento con 21 items. Resultados: despues de realizar analisis confi rmatorio (CFI= .858, TLI= .838, IFI= .860, RMSEA= .067), los resultados obtenidos confi rman una estructura constituida por cuatro factores: Aumento de los recursos estructurales del empleo, Disminucion de las demandas de trabajo, Aumento de los recursos sociales del empleo, Creciente demanda de desafios en el trabajo. Estos cuatro factores tienen una fi abilidad adecuada y se constatan evidencias de validez con otras escalas que hacen referencia al Engagement en el trabajo y la Proactividad. Conclusiones: el cuestionario puede ser una herramienta util para la evaluacion del job crafting y para su uso en la investigacion en el contexto de los paises de lengua espanola EnglishBackground: A literature review reveals that there is no measure of job crafting available in Spanish. This paper presents the translation, adaptation and validation of a scale to measure job crafting behaviors (i.e. the Spanish Job Crafting Scale – SJCS; Tims, Bakker, & Derks, 2012). Methods: The scale was applied to a sample of 896 employees in Spain (52.26% women and 47.4% men). We tested the reliability and factorial validity of the 21-item instrument. Results: After confi rmatory factor analysis (CFI=.858, TLI= .838, IFI= .860, RMSEA= .067), the results show a structure consisting of four factors: Increasing structural job resources; Decreasing hindering job demands; Increasing social job resources; Increasing challenging job demands. These four factors demonstrate adequate reliability and evidence of validity with others scales that refer to Engagement at Work and Proactivity. Conclusion: The questionnaire may be a useful tool for the assessment of job crafting and for future research in Spanish speaking countries

Este articulo analiza las vinculaciones entre las TIC y la productividad, a partir de una contribucion empirica, agregada e internacional para un amplio conjunto de paises de la OCDE. Los resultados de la investigacion sugieren una importante contribucion del capital conocimiento a la intensificacion/dependencia del capital, de manera que este se ha convertido en una fuente de crecimiento de la productividad del trabajo para un amplio conjunto de paises a partir de la segunda mitad de la decada de los noventa. EnglishOn the transition process from an industrial economy towards a global and knowledge based economy, the investment and the use of the information and communication technologies (ICT) have become determining explanatory factors of productivity advances, and, consequently, of economic growth. This article analyses the links between the ICT and the productivity, from an empirical, aggregated and international contribution, for a wide range of OECD countries. The results of the investigation suggest an important contribution of knowledge capital to capital dependence. In this way, knowledge capital has become a growth source of the labour productivity growth since the second half of the Nineties for an ample set of countries.
