Active, selective and robust Pd and/or Cr catalysts supported on Ti-, Zr- or [Ti,Zr]-pillared montmorillonites for destruction of chlorinated volatile organic compounds

TL;DR: In this paper, Pd and/or Cr catalysts supported on Ti-, Zr- or mixed [Ti,Zr]-pillared montomorillonite clays (PILC), for use in combustion of dichloromethane (DCM) and trichloroethylene (TCE), were synthesized, and characterized with XRD, SEM, TEM/HRTEM, XPS, ESR and Raman spectroscopies.
Journal ArticleDOI

New insight into the preferred valency of interlayer anions in hydrotalcite-like compounds: The effect of Mg/Al ratio

TL;DR: Magnesium-aluminum hydrotalcite-like compounds with molar ratios of Mg/Al ranging from 1.93 to 6.63 were synthesized and characterized with elemental analysis, XRD, SEM, TG/MS, XPS, 27Al solid state MAS NMR, 13C solid state CP MAS NMRI, and vibrational spectroscopy as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of cobalt location in Keggin-type heteropoly catalysts on aerobic oxidation of cyclooctane: Experimental and theoretical study

TL;DR: A combined experimental and theoretical study of the effect of the polyatom nature (W or Mo) and/or the location of the Co dopant within the heteropoly compound structure on the aerobic liquid phase oxidation of cyclooctane has been carried out as discussed by the authors.
