TL;DR: Evaluating the genetic architecture of PUE in tropical maize using multiple interval mapping for design III in a population of 140 RILs backcrossed with both parental lines showed that dominance effects were more important than additive effects for explaining the variations in PUE and its components.

Stability of combining ability effects in maize hybrids
TL;DR: Estimating the general (GCA) and specific combining abilities (SCA) effects of commercial maize hybrids using a complete diallel scheme and assessing the stabilities of these estimates found non-additive effects were more important for this set of hybrids than the additive effects.
