Magnetically recyclable magnetite–palladium (Nanocat-Fe–Pd) nanocatalyst for the Buchwald–Hartwig reaction

TL;DR: The immobilization of Pd on the magnetite surface afforded Nanocat-Fe–Pd using inexpensive precursors and its catalytic role in the Buchwald–Hartwig reaction for arylation of amines and amides was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of Au/CuO nanoplasmonic thin films for sensing applications

TL;DR: In this article, the average size of the crystalline domains of the Au nanoparticles (fcc structure) increased from about 6-nm to 13-nm after annealing at 800-°C, with a progressive crystallization of the CuO matrix in the monoclinic structure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of the patch field on work function measurements based on the secondary electron emission

TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that the onset shift depends on both the coverage of adsorbed species that change the work function and the size of low work function patches, and that manipulating the extraction field intensity enables transition between the measurement regimes.
Journal ArticleDOI

XAFS and XPS analysis of Zn0.98Fe0.02Te0.91Se0.09 semiconductor

TL;DR: In this article, local structures and electronic properties of II-VI quaternary Zn0.98Fe0.02Te0.91Se0.09 mixed crystal are studied by X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) while the surface composition and its oxidation in air are investigated by Xray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).
Journal ArticleDOI

XPS spectrometer transmission function optimization by the differential evolution algorithm

TL;DR: In this article, an XPS containing XSAM 800 setup, produced by Kratos, was upgraded and the detection system nonlinearity and the transmission function of the upgraded system were measured.
