Journal ArticleDOI

1H and 13C NMR Assignments of Some Green Tea Polyphenols

TL;DR: In this article, complete and unequivocal 1H and 13C NMR assignments for a range of green tea polyphenols [epiafzelechin, catechin, epicatechin, gallocatechin, and epigallocatechin] in acetone-d6 solvent have been achieved using the 2D proton-carbon correlation experiments HMQC and HMBC and also 1D NOE difference spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Amaryllidaceae, Sceletium, imidazole, oxazole, thiazole, peptide and miscellaneous alkaloids (July 1998 to June 1999)

TL;DR: Alkaloids possessing imidazole, oxazole and thiazole structures are listed followed by alkaloid possessing peptide linkages, and miscellaneous alkaloids include those compounds found naturally which cannot be classified into known groups; a relative Pandora's box.
Journal ArticleDOI

Amaryllidaceae, Sceletium, imidazole, oxazole, thiazole, peptide and miscellaneous alkaloids

TL;DR: Alkaloids classified in the plant families Amaryallidaceae and Sceletium and miscellaneous alkaloids include those compounds found naturally which cannot be classified into known groups; a relative Pandora’s box.
Journal ArticleDOI

The self-association of the black tea polyphenol theaflavin and its complexation with caffeine

TL;DR: In this article, the self-association of theaflavin and caffeine was studied using nuclear magnetic resonance methods (chemical shift changes and self-diffusion constants on dilution).
