TL;DR: In this article, the availability of a poorly absorbed drug, hydrochlorothiazide, was determined from two formulations: a bioadhesive poly(acrylic acid) (Carbopol) formulation, which showed delayed transit to the ileocaecal junction, and a similar non-adhesive formulation.
