Susan Stewart,Michael C. Fishbein,G.I. Snell,Gerald J. Berry,Annette Boehler,Margaret Burke,A. Glanville,F. Kate Gould,Cynthia Magro,Charles C. Marboe,K. McNeil,Elaine F. Reed,Nancy L. Reinsmoen,John P. Scott,Sean M. Studer,Henry D. Tazelaar,John Wallwork,G.P. Westall,Martin Zamora,Adriana Zeevi,Samuel A. Yousem +20 more
TL;DR: This article summarizes the revised consensus classification of lung allograft rejection and recommends the evaluation of antibody-mediated rejection, recognizing that this is a controversial entity in the lung, less well developed and understood than in other solid-organ grafts, and with no consensus reached on diagnostic features.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inhaled nitric oxide as a cause of selective pulmonary vasodilatation in pulmonary hypertension.
TL;DR: Although SVR fell substantially after prostacyclin in patients with pulmonary hypertension, inhaled NO had no effect on SVR in any patient or volunteer, and seems to be both a selective and effective pulmonary vasodilator.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impairment of Endothelium-Dependent Pulmonary-Artery Relaxation in Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease
Anh Tuan Dinh-Xuan,T. W. Higenbottam,Colin Clelland,Joanna Pepke-Zaba,George Cremona,A. Y. Butt,Francis C. Wells,John Wallwork +7 more
TL;DR: Endothelium-dependent pulmonary-artery relaxation in vitro is impaired in arteries from patients with end-stage chronic obstructive lung disease, which may contribute to the development of pulmonary hypertension in chronic hypoxic lung disease.
Journal ArticleDOI

P M Schofield,Linda D. Sharples,N. Caine,Sharon M Burns,S. Tait,T Wistow,Martin Buxton,John Wallwork +7 more
TL;DR: The findings show that the adoption of TMLR cannot be advocated and further research may be appropriate to assess any potential benefit for sicker patients.
