Locally implementable matrix flows and their application to neural network learning

TL;DR: A number of matrix flows, based on isospectral and isodirectional flows, is studied and modified for the purpose of local implementability on a network structure.
Book ChapterDOI

The application of higher order singular value decomposition to independent component analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, a tensor decomposition that can be interpreted as a generalization of the Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) of matrices is presented, where the diagonal matrix that contains the singular values in the second-order case, is replaced by an all-orthogonal N th-order tensor, in which allorthogonality turns out to be the appropriate higher-order equivalent of diagonality.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Project-oriented approach to undergraduate teaching in green power production and prediction of electricity consumption

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe a project-oriented approach to undergraduate teaching in the field of electrical power engineering applied in the Department of Electrical Engineering of the K.U.Leuven University, Belgium.
