TL;DR: The state of the art of digital in-line holographic microscopy with numerical reconstruction is reviewed and some technical issues, such as lateral and depth resolution, depth of field, twin image, four-dimensional tracking, and reconstruction algorithm are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immersion digital in-line holographic microscopy
TL;DR: It is demonstrated, by using latex beads, that a considerable increase in numerical aperture, and, therefore, resolution can be achieved if the space between a source and a CCD camera chip is filled with a high refractive index medium.
A submersible digital in-line holographic microscope
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple submersible digital in-line holographic microscope that can image organisms and their motion with micron resolution and that can be deployed from small vessels is described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Submersible digital in-line holographic microscope
TL;DR: In this article, a simple submersible digital in-line holographic microscope that can image organisms and their motion with micron resolution and that can be deployed from small vessels is described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reduction of speckle noise in digital holography by using digital image processing
TL;DR: This work shows the merged use of digital image processing techniques in order to reduce the speckle noise in digital reconstruction of optically recorded Fresnel's holograms.
