Journal ArticleDOI
Caracterização tecnológica, para produção de celulose, da nova geração de clones de Eucalyptus do Brasil
TL;DR: Last generation of Eucalyptus clones pulped by the main Brazilian kraft pulp mills were used for this study and demonstrated the high quality of EUCalyPTus clones wood that are being planted in Brazil for k Kraft pulp production.
Journal Article
Dissolving pulp production from bamboo
Larisse Aparecida Ribas Batalha,Jorge Luiz Colodette,José Lívio Gomide,Luiz C. A. Barbosa,Célia R. A. Maltha,Fernando José Borges Gomes +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, commercial bamboo chips were evaluated as raw material for dissolving pulp production, and the chips were auto-hydrolyzed (AH) and subsequently cooked by the NaOH/AQ process and bleached to full brightness with the O-CCE-D-(EP)-D-P sequence.
Influence of pulping conditions on eucalyptus kraft pulp yield, quality, and bleachability
Jorge Luiz Colodette,José Lívio Gomide,Russell Girard,Anna-Stiina Jääskeläinen,Dimitris S. Argyropoulos +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of cooking temperature and residual alkali on kraft pulp yield, bleachability, and quality was evaluated by cooking Eucalyptus grandis wood chips to kappa number 16-17.
Journal ArticleDOI
Análise de critérios de qualidade da madeira de eucalipto para produção de celulose kraft
TL;DR: In this article, a study of Eucalyptus wood clones obtained from different geographic regions in Brazil were used for pulping characteristics determination, and it was demonstrated that an active alkali charge and wood lignin and extractive contents presented a significant effect on pulping yield.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influência da densidade básica da madeira na qualidade da polpa kraft de clones hibrídos de Eucalyptus grandis W. Hill ex Maiden X Eucalyptus urophylla S. T. Blake
Simone Cristina Setúbal Queiroz,José Lívio Gomide,Jorge Luiz Colodette,Rubens Chaves de Oliveira +3 more
TL;DR: In this article, dois clones of Eucalyptus with densidades basicas of 447 and 552 kg/m³ were used for branqueamento.
