Smart-Building Applications: Deep Learning-Based, Real-Time Load Monitoring
Halil Cimen,Emilio J. Palacios-Garcia,Morten Kolaek,Nurettin Cetinkaya,Juan C. Vasquez,Josep M. Guerrero +5 more
TL;DR: Google's Director of Research Peter Norvig said, "The authors don't have better algorithms than anyone else; they just have more data."
Journal ArticleDOI
Effective Controls of Fixed Capacitor-Thyristor Controlled Reactors for Power Quality Improvement in Shipboard Microgrids
Yacine Terriche,Chun-Lien Su,Abderezak Lashab,Muhammad Umair Mutarraf,Mojtaba Mehrzadi,Josep M. Guerrero,Juan C. Vasquez +6 more
TL;DR: This article aims to propose the application of some simple yet numerically efficient algorithms based on bisection, Newton–Raphson, false position, and secant methods for estimating the firing angle of the FC-TCR that can be effectively applied in real-time applications.

A consensus-based secondary control layer for stable current sharing and voltage balancing in DC microgrids
TL;DR: This paper proposes a secondary consensus-based control layer for current sharing and voltage balancing in DC microGrids (mGs) and describes how to design secondary controllers in a PnP fashion when DGUs are added or removed.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
A new virtual-flux-vector based droop control strategy for parallel connected inverters in microgrids
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a new control strategy for parallel connected inverters in microgrid applications by drooping the flux instead of the inverter output voltage, which can achieve active and reactive power sharing with much lower frequency deviation and better transient performance than the conventional voltage droop method.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Novel Power Sharing Scheme of Controlling Parallel-Operated Inverters in Islanded Microgrids
TL;DR: A novel controller for VSIs is proposed by using a disturbance observer (DOB) and a synchronization control is proposed to strictly synchronize the VSIs only by using local measurements to improve the reactive power sharing accuracy.
