Book ChapterDOI

Cryptanalysis of alleged A5 stream cipher

TL;DR: A time-memory trade-off attack based on the birthday paradox which yields the unknown internal state at a known time for a known keystream sequence is pointed out, and a so-called internal state reversion attack is proposed and analyzed by the theory of critical and subcritical branching processes.
Book ChapterDOI

Linear statistical weakness of alleged RC4 keystream generator

TL;DR: A keystream generator known as RC4 is analyzed by the linear model approach and it is shown that the second binary derivative of the least significant bit output sequence is correlated to 1 with the correlation coefficient close to 15ċ2-3n.
Journal ArticleDOI

A generalized correlation attack on a class of stream ciphers based on the Levenshtein distance

TL;DR: A statistical approach to cryptanalysis of a memoryless function of clock-controlled shift registers of zero-order correlation immunity and an algorithm for a shift register initial state reconstruction based on the sequence comparison concept are introduced.
Book ChapterDOI

LILI Keystream Generator

TL;DR: A family of keystream generators, called the LILI key stream generators, is proposed for use in stream cipher applications and the security of these generators is investigated with respect to currently known attacks.
Book ChapterDOI

A Fast Iterative Algorithm For A Shift Register Initial State Reconstruction Given The Nosiy Output Sequence

TL;DR: A novel fast algorithm for the correlation attack on a class of stream ciphers is proposed, based on the error correction principle and the finite-state matrix representation of a linear feedback shift register.
