Journal ArticleDOI
Stable high‐order finite‐difference methods based on non‐uniform grid point distributions
TL;DR: In this paper, a non-uniform grid for piecewise polynomial interpolations of degree q⩽N is introduced, where N + 1 is the total number of grid nodes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Solar heat gain coefficient of water flow glazings
Pablo Sierra,Juan A. Hernández +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the spectral properties of each layer of the glazing determine the fraction of solar radiation absorbed in each layer, which is later transported by the water in a closed circuit.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analytical solution to the one-dimensional non-uniform absorption of solar radiation in uncoated and coated single glass panes
TL;DR: In this article, an analytical solution to the one-dimensional absorption-conduction heat transfer problem inside a single glass pane is presented, which correctly takes into account all the relevant physical phenomena: the appearance of multiple reflections, the spectral distribution of solar radiation, spectral dependence of optical properties, the presence of possible coatings, the non-uniform nature of radiation absorption, and the diffusion of heat by conduction across the glass pane.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analytical solutions to evaluate solar radiation overheating in simplified glazed rooms
Belen Moreno,Juan A. Hernández +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present analytical solutions for a very simple room with a glazing subjected to solar radiation with a normal angle of incidence, yielding analytical expressions for: (i) the effective absorptance, (ii) the back absorptances of the glazing subject to indoor diffuse irradiance and (iii) the indoor temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spectral problem for water flow glazings
TL;DR: In this paper, a net energy balance radiation model similar to Siegel's model is used to solve the spectral problem of multilayer water flow glazing and the results constitute the inputs of the thermal problem.
