Insight into the Critical Role of Exchange Current Density on Electrodeposition Behavior of Lithium Metal
Yangyang Liu,Xieyu Xu,Matthew Sadd,Olesya O. Kapitanova,V. A. Krivchenko,Jun Ban,Jialin Wang,Xingxing Jiao,Zhongxiao Song,Jiangxuan Song,Shizhao Xiong,Aleksandar Matic +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a phase-field model is presented to show the effect of exchange current density on the electrodeposition behavior of Li, and it is shown that a uniform distribution of cathodic current density is obtained with lower exchange current densities.

All-Temperature, High-Energy-Density Li/CFx Batteries Enabled by a Fluorinated Ether as a Cosolvent
TL;DR: In this article, Li/fluorinated carbon (Li/CFx) primary batteries have received widespread attention due to their high specific energy density, but the development of Li-CFx primary batteries is seriously hampere...

Promoted rate and cycling capability of Li–S batteries enabled by targeted selection of co-solvent for the electrolyte
Yangyang Liu,Pan Yizhen,Jun Ban,Tongtong Li,Xingxing Jiao,Xiaobin Hong,Kai Xie,Jiangxuan Song,Aleksandar Matic,Shizhao Xiong +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a comprehensive strategy to select co-solvent to the electrolyte to regulate the deposition of lithium sulfides during charge-discharge process is presented. But, their practical application is hampered by low rate capability and rapid degradation of capacity, arising from the passivation of the cathode by Li2S2/Li2S.
