Journal ArticleDOI

Gq protein alpha subunits Galphaq and Galpha11 are localized at postsynaptic extra-junctional membrane of cerebellar Purkinje cells and hippocampal pyramidal cells.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the expression and localization of Gq protein alpha subunits in the adult mouse brain by in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry and found that the highest transcriptional level of Galphaq was observed in cerebellar Purkinje cells and hippocampal pyramidal cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cellular distribution of the P2X4 ATP receptor mRNA in the brain and non-neuronal organs of rats.

TL;DR: RNA blot analysis has shown that an ionotropic ATP receptor P2x4 is widely distributed, as compared with other P2X subtypes, suggesting an involvement of ATP in spermatogenesis and intestinal secretion.
