An optimized model and test of the China's first high temperature parabolic trough solar receiver
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors optimized a 1-D theoretical model at Matlab program to compute the receiver's major heat loss through glass envelope, and then systematically analyzes the major influence factors of heat loss.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sustainability evaluation and sensitivity analysis of district heating systems coupled to geothermal and solar resources
TL;DR: In this paper, a quantitative sustainability assessment model was constructed for the resulting hybrid district heating systems and indicators on energy, environment, economic, and societal aspects were used to evaluate the composite sustainability index of hybrid systems with information entropy method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Review of zinc dendrite formation in zinc bromine redox flow battery
TL;DR: In this article, the formation, characterization, and state-of-the-art of preventing zinc dendrites are presented and analyzed both from a micro and macro perspective, where the dominant strategies for preventing dendritic growth include reducing the concentration gradient of ions, eliminating the nonuniform localized current density, and changing the nuclear potential of zinc ions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermodynamic performance analysis and multi-criteria optimization of a hybrid combined heat and power system coupled with geothermal energy
Yuzhu Chen,Jun Wang,Peter Lund +2 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the optimal allocation ratio of hot water from the internal combustion engine (ICE) to preheat the evaporator was analyzed to maximize the performance of the hybrid CHP system for a specific case building.
Journal ArticleDOI
Status and future strategies for Concentrating Solar Power in China
TL;DR: In this paper, a short overview of the state-of-the-art of Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) including the status in China is presented, and a blueprint for China's CSP development is elaborated based on China's 13th 5-year program and previous success factors in PV and wind power.
