Journal ArticleDOI

Screening of Mango (Mangifera indica L.) Cultivars for Their Contents of Flavonol O- and Xanthone C-Glycosides, Anthocyanins, and Pectin

TL;DR: The profile of flavonol glycosides of the peels proved to be highly characteristic and may therefore serve as a tool for authenticity control of mango puree concentrate, which is often produced from unpeeled fruits and represents an important intermediate for the production of mango nectars.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Structural and Functional Elucidation of the Rumen Microbiome Influenced by Various Diets and Microenvironments

TL;DR: Proteins involved in carbon metabolism were detected in high numbers and identification of metabolites like short-chain fatty acids, methylamines and phenylpropionate by NMR enabled linkage between producers and products.
Journal ArticleDOI

Formation pathways for lysine-arginine cross-links derived from hexoses and pentoses by Maillard processes: unraveling the structure of a pentosidine precursor.

TL;DR: From these results it seems fully justified to expect both glucosepane 9 and DOGDIC 12 to constitute important in vivo cross-links.
Journal ArticleDOI

Detection of Phloridzin in Strawberries (Fragaria X Ananassa Duch.) by HPLC-PDA-MS/MS and NMR Spectroscopy

TL;DR: This first report on the occurrence of phloridzin in strawberries is of particular interest for the authenticity control of strawberry products such as juices, jams, and fruit preparations since phlorodzin has so far been used for the detection of fraudulent admixtures.
