Journal ArticleDOI

Pyrophosphate-selective fluorescent chemosensor at physiological pH: formation of a unique excimer upon addition of pyrophosphate.

TL;DR: A new fluorescent chemosensor that displays an excellent selectivity for pyrophosphate over adenosine triphosphate or phosphate in 100% aqueous solution is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Boronic acid-linked fluorescent and colorimetric probes for copper ions

TL;DR: The first examples of boronic acid-linked fluorescent and colorimetric chemosensors for copper ions are reported; the monoboronic Acid-conjugated rhodamine probe displays a highly selective fluorescent enhancement with Cu2+ among the various metal ions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rhodamine urea derivatives as fluorescent chemosensors for Hg2

TL;DR: In this paper, a new rhodamine derivatives bearing urea group have been synthesized for the detection of metal ions, and the dimeric system 2 displayed a selective fluorescent enhancement and colorimetric change upon the addition of Hg 2+, in which the spirolactam (nonfluorescent) to ring opened amide process was utilized.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Selective Imidazoline-2-thione-Bearing Two-Photon Fluorescent Probe for Hypochlorous Acid in Mitochondria

TL;DR: A two-photon fluorescent off/on probe bearing imidazoline-2-thione as an OCl(-) recognition unit and triphenylphosphine as a mitochondrial-targeting group was synthesized and examined for its ability to image mitochondrial OCl (-) in situ.
