Journal ArticleDOI

A comparative study of white spot syndrome virus infection in shrimp from India and Korea.

TL;DR: This study was carried out on field outbreaks and experimental trials with WSSV in P. monodon and P. indicus in lndia and Penaeus chinensis in Korea in order to examine the relationship between the pathogen in the two countries.
Journal Article

Reliable criteria for the selection of broodstock of Penaeus monodon Fabricius in genetic improvement programmes

TL;DR: Correlation matrices revealed a significant relationship between the morphometric traits and tail weight, particularly in the broodstock animals, and these easily measurable traits can be used as criteria in the selection of P. monodon broodstock.

An epizootic of infectious hepatopancreatic and lymphoid organ necrosis disease in cultured Penaeus monodon: a case study

TL;DR: A case study of shrimp (Penaeus monodon; Penaeus indicus) epizootic disease, covering an area of 1,050 ha in Andhra Pradesh, India, which struck shrimp farms in the area in July 1994.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gain of function studies on predicted host receptors for white spot virus.

TL;DR: In this article , protein-protein docking is applied to evaluate the interaction of VP28 trimeric extracellular region with four host (Penaeus monodon) receptors reported earlier, Rab7 GTPase, glucose transporter 1 (PmGLUT1), C-type lectin and calreticulin.
