Journal ArticleDOI

Parametric generation of femtosecond and picosecond pulses for spectroscopic applications

TL;DR: In this article, a pulsed optical parametric oscillator that has a wide tuning range from 0.7 to 1.8 μm, a conversion efficiency of a few percent, and a minimum pulse duration of as low as 65 fs was presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intense bandwidth- and diffraction-limited picosecond pulses with large tuning range

TL;DR: In this article, a singly resonant optical parametric oscillator was devised with type II phasematching of a KTP crystal and pumping by the second harmonic of a feedback-controlled modelocked Nd: YLF laser.
Journal ArticleDOI

Feedback-controlled mode-locking operation of a Nd:YLF laser at 1.047 μm

TL;DR: In this article, a feedback-controlled mode locking (FCM) of a Nd:YLF laser at 1.047 μm was demonstrated, and the larger stimulated emission cross section of the π-polarized (λ=1.047 µm) transition compared to the cross-section of the ε-policed (λ = 1.053 µm), leading to a lower pump energy threshold.
