Column efficiencies of rectifying column with liquid mixing on plate

TL;DR: In this paper, the relationship between column efficiency and plate efficiency in a rectifying column is investigated by considering the liquid mixing on the plate under the assumption that the vapor is in equilibrium with the liquid at the center of the plate, and the column efficiency is derived as a function of plate efficiency, λ(mV/L) and the mixing parameter F for the case where the equilibrium curve is given as a straight line.
Journal ArticleDOI

The effect of liquid mixing on the number of plates in distillation column

TL;DR: In this article, a stage-to-stage calculation for the various mixing degrees of liquid on the plate is carried out under the ideal-plate assumption mentioned above, and the effect of liquid mixing on number of plates is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Over-all Mass Transfer Coefficients in Liquid Jet Columns in the Case that both the Gas-side and the Liquid side Resistances are appreciable

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method to solve the problem of N2-H2O using CO2-N2-HI2O and NH3-NH3 N2 H2O.
Journal ArticleDOI

Separation of Surfactant and Metallic Ion by a Foam Column

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the effect of different types of variables on the performance of DBS and propose a method to improve the performance by modifying the DBS's software.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the Diffusivity of Oxygen in Aqueous Electrolyte Solutions by a Polarographic Method

TL;DR: For example, this article reported that pH = 7.5% and pH = 13.3% for pH=13.5%, pH = 5.5 % for pH = 3.5%.
