Multisensor data fusion for fire detection

Saat ini teknologi sangat berperan dalam kehidupan, terutama robot. Perkembangan teknologi dalam robot dapat diketahui dari jenis, bentuk, dan aplikasi robot. Robot dapat digunakan untuk tugas berisiko tinggi seperti pemadam kebakaran. Robot pemadam kebakaran harus dapat mencari daerah tertentu, menemukan, dan memadamkan api. Untuk melengkapi kemampuan robot ini, robot harus dilengkapi dengan pengontrol yang tepat. Pada penelitian ini direalisasikan robot tank yang dilengkapi dengan sensor ultrasonik, sensor kompas, detektor api, sensor array termal, detektor putih, dan sensor mikro switch. Robot tank dikendalikan oleh mikrokontroler AVR ATMega16. Arena simulasi dirancang dalam miniatur. Miniatur ini dilengkapi dengan penghalang, peredam suara, dan lantai yang tidak rata. 2019 Novel Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19): Smart Contactless Hand Sanitizer-Dispensing System Using IoT Based Robotics Technology

The adoption of emergency alerting systems can bring countless benefits when managing urban areas, industrial plants, farms, roads and virtually any area that is subject to the occurrence of critical events, supporting in rescue operations and reducing their negative impacts. For such systems, a promising approach is to exploit scalar sensors to detect events of interest, allowing for the distributed monitoring of different variables. However, the use of cameras as visual sensors can enhance the detection of critical events, which can be employed along with scalar sensors for a more comprehensive perception of the environment. Although the particularities of visual sensing may be challenging in some scenarios, the combination of scalar and visual sensors for the early detection of emergency situations can be valuable for many scenarios, such as smart cities and industry 4.0, bringing promising results. Therefore, in this article, we extend a sensors-based emergency detection and alerting system to also exploit visual monitoring when identifying critical events. Implementation and experimental details are provided to reinforce the use of cameras as a relevant sensor unit, bringing promising results for emergencies management.

Design and Development of Spray Disinfection System to Combat Coronavirus (Covid-19) Using IoT Based Robotics Technology

Fire fighter robot is a machine developed by humans to guard human live, because the accidents happening during the fire extinguishing process is uncountable. This robot main function is to detect fire and move towards the fire automatically to extinguish it from a safe distance using water. This robot’s movement and behavior will be fully controlled by a programmable raspberry pi. This robot which will be in a form of vehicle will move right, left, front and back to detect and extinguish the fire. This fire fighter robot will also have a thermal camera and an infrared camera mounted over it. The purpose of thermal camera is to detect fire and the temperature and the infrared camera is to provide night vision imaging which will do live recording of the entire process of extinguishing. This live recording can be viewed in PC reference which comes along with a log in system as well.

PurposeHuman gait analysis is based on a significant part of the musculoskeletal, nervous and respiratory systems. Gait analysis is widely adopted to help patients increase community involvement and independent living.Design/methodology/approachThis paper presents a system for the classification of abnormal human gaits using a Markerless 3D Motion Capture device. This study aims at examining and estimating the spatiotemporal and kinematic parameters obtained by 3D gait analysis in diverse groups of gait-impaired subjects and compares the parameters with that of healthy participants to interpret the gait patterns.FindingsThe classification is based on mathematical models that distinguish between normal and abnormal gait patterns depending on the deviations in the gait parameters. The difference between the gait measures of the control and each disease group was examined using 95% limits of agreement by the Bland and Altman method. The scatter plots demonstrated gait variability in Parkinsonian and ataxia gait and knee joint angle variation in hemiplegic gait when compared with those of healthy controls. To prove the validity of the Kinect camera, significant correlations were detected between Kinect- and inertial-based gait tests.Originality/valueThe various techniques used for gait assessments are often high in price and have existing limitations like the hindrance of components. The results suggest that the Kinect-based gait assessment techniques can be used as a low-cost, less-intrusive alternative to expensive infrastructure gait lab tests in the clinical environment.
