Constitutive Expression of Multiple Growth Factor Genes by Melanoma Cells but Not Normal Melanocytes
Ulrich Rodeck,Karl Melber,Roland Kath,Hans-Dietrich Menssen,Michael A. Varello,Barbara Atkinson,Meenhard Herlyn +6 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that multiple growth factors are expressed simultaneously and constitutively by melanoma cells but not normal melanocytes in culture, suggesting that bioactive TGF- beta may represent a physiologic growth inhibitor.

SV40-transfected human melanocyte sensitivity to growth inhibition by the phorbol ester 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate.
TL;DR: Normal human melanocytes, which require the phorbol ester 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate for growth in culture, were transfected with a SV40 T-antigen-containing plasmid by using the technique of electroporation, and were scored for colonies of morphologically altered cells.

Method of carrying out blood tests
TL;DR: In this article, a method of carrying out blood tests was proposed based on the knowledge that clinico-chemical blood parameters can be determined using not only blood serum but also blood plasma. But this method requires blood samples to be mixed with at least one thrombin inhibitor.
