Structures and Reactivities of Platinum-Blues and the Related Amidate-Bridged Platinumiii Compounds

TL;DR: In this article, the structure and reactivities of platinum-blues and the related amidate-bridged platinumIII are discussed and a zigzag chain structure of the platinum blues having Pt-Pt bonds is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Syntheses, Crystal Structures, and Electronic, ESR, and x-ray Photoelectron Spectra of Acetamidate-and 2-Fluoroacetamidate-Bridged Mixed-Valent Octanuclear Platinum Blues

TL;DR: The first mixed-valent octanuclear platinum blue compounds with bridging acetamidate and 2-fluoroacetamidate ligands were crystallographically characterized in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI

Homogeneous catalyses of mixed-valent octanuclear platinum complexes in photochemical hydrogen production from water

TL;DR: In this paper, an acetamidate-bridged mixed-valent octanuclear platinum complex, [Pt(2.25+) 8 (NH 3 ) 16 (CH 3 CONH) 8 ](NO 3 ) 10 ·4H 2 O, was employed as a hydrogen-producing catalyst in a photochemical model system, containing EDTA as a sacrificial electron donor, [Ru (2,2′-bpy) 3 ] 2+ as a photosensitizer and methyl viologen as an electron relay.
Journal ArticleDOI

Homogeneous catalysis of platinum blue related complexes in photoreduction of water into hydrogen

TL;DR: In this article, the evolution of H 2 by simple dissolution of either [Pt 2 (NH 3 ) 4 (C 4 H 6 NO) 2 ] 2 -(PF 6 ) 4,[Pt 4 NH 3 ] 8 (C 5 H 4 NO) 4 ] 6+ and proton, which is confirmed by UV-visible spectrophotometry, is observed by gas chromatography.
