TL;DR: While Sars-CoV-2 antibody prevalence estimates varied widely across jurisdictions, most people in the US did not have evidence of previous SARS-Cov-2 infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Factors associated with biomedical research participation within community-based samples across 3 National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers.
Nadine J. Barrett,Elisa M. Rodriguez,Ronaldo Iachan,Terry Hyslop,Kearston L. Ingraham,Gem M. Le,Kelly Martin,Rodney C. Haring,Natalie A. Rivadeneira,Deborah O. Erwin,Laura J. Fish,Deirdre Middleton,Robert A. Hiatt,Steven R. Patierno,Urmimala Sarkar,Elizabeth A. Gage-Bouchard +15 more
TL;DR: This study examined factors associated with an invitation to participate in biomedical research, intent to participateIn biomedical research in the future, and participation in biomedicalResearch and biospecimen donation among a diverse, multilingual, community‐based sample across 3 distinct geographic areas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Weighting Nonprobability and Probability Sample Surveys in Describing Cancer Catchment Areas
Ronaldo Iachan,Lewis Berman,Tonja M. Kyle,Kelly Martin,Yangyang Deng,Davia Moyse,Deirdre Middleton,Audie A. Atienza +7 more
TL;DR: This article describes the methods developed to weight data, which cancer centers collected with combinations of probability, and nonprobability sampling designs, and includes comparisons of local center data with national survey data from large probability samples.
Journal ArticleDOI
Examining the Association of Food Insecurity and Being Up-To-Date for Breast and Colorectal Cancer Screenings.
Jason A. Mendoza,Carrie A. Miller,Kelly Martin,Ken Resnicow,Ronaldo Iachan,Babalola Faseru,Corinne McDaniels-Davidson,Yangyang Deng,Maria Elena Martinez,Wendy Demark-Wahnefried,Amy Leader,DeAnn Lazovich,Jakob D. Jensen,Katherine J. Briant,Bernard F. Fuemmeler +14 more
TL;DR: FI was inversely associated with being up-to-date for CRC and BC screening, and future studies should combine FI and cancer screening interventions to improve screening rates.
Journal ArticleDOI
State and regional estimates using seven cycles of pooled nationally representative HINTS data.
Lee Harding,Ronaldo Iachan,Kelly Martin,Yangyang Deng,Deirdre Middleton,Richard P. Moser,Kelly D. Blake +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors used the Health Information National Trends Survey (HINTS) data from 2012 to 2018 and then raked the previously created person-level weights to create tables and maps of HINTS subnational survey estimates for key outcomes that have small variances and little potential bias.
