Incidence of latex allergy in atopic children in Japan
Akira Akasawa,Kenji Matsumoto,Hirohisa Saito,N. Sakaguchi,K Tanaka,Obata T,Toshikazu Tsubaki,Yoji Iikura +7 more
TL;DR: The data suggest that the authors should be cautious about latex allergy when atopic children have to be operated upon, and that most of the children did not realize that they were allergic to latex until it was discovered.
Journal Article
The stimuli releasing histamine from murine bone marrow-derived mast cells. 2. Mechanisms involved in histamine release induced by extracellular ATP and its metabolites.
TL;DR: Extracellular ATP stimulated histamine release and generation of leukotrience C4 (LTC4) accompanied with the formation of inositol phosphates and a rapid increase in intracellular Ca2+ ([Ca2+]i) in mouse bone marrow-derived cultured mast cells (BMMC) probably via mechanisms independent of the potentiation of Histamine release induced by adenosine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantification of androgens and their precursors in full-term human placenta.
Tomoko Yoshida,Kenji Matsumoto,Mami Miyado,Yoshimichi Miyashiro,Haruhiko Sago,Reiko Horikawa,Maki Fukami +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LCS) to quantify progesterone, androstenedione (A4), testosterone (T) and dihydrotestosterone (DHT) levels in full-term placentas.
Journal ArticleDOI
