White light generation from Dy3+-doped ZnO–B2O3–P2O5 glasses

TL;DR: In this article, Dy3+ ion doped ZnO-B2O3-P2O5 (ZBP) glasses were prepared by a conventional melt quenching technique in order to study the luminescent properties and their utility for white light emitting diodes (LEDs).
Journal ArticleDOI

Red light emitting BaNb2O6:Eu3+ phosphor for solid state lighting applications

TL;DR: In this article, Eu 3+ doped barium niobate (Eu 3 + :BaNb 2 O 6 ) phosphors were successfully synthesized by conventional solid state reaction method.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystal structure, electronic structure, and optical and photoluminescence properties of Eu(III) ion-doped Lu6Mo(W)O12.

TL;DR: The lattice parameters and bandgap energies of hexagonal Lu( 6)WO(12) and Lu(6)MoO( 12) were determined and it is revealed thathexagonal Lu (6)W o-12 and Lu ( 6)Mo o- 12 are indirect bandgap materials, and the near-UV excitations are due to the electronic transitions from the O-2p orbitals to W-5d and Mo-4d orbitals, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Different photoluminescent properties of binary and ternary europium chelates doped in PMMA

TL;DR: Two kinds of europium-β-diketone chelates were doped in poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) and showed very different photoluminescent (PL) behaviors: the hypersensitive 5 D 0 → 7 F 2 emission bands of Eu(DBM) 3 phen change slightly with the molar ratios as discussed by the authors.

Citric Sol-Gel Synthesis and Photoluminescence Properties of Un-Doped and Sm3+ Doped Ca3Y2Si3O12 Phosphors

TL;DR: In this article, the photoluminescent properties of un-doped and Sm 3+ doped Ca 3 Y 2 Si 3 O 12 phosphors were prepared by the citrate sol-gel method.
