Journal ArticleDOI
Pharmacokinetic and behavioural profile of THC, CBD, and THC+CBD combination after pulmonary, oral, and subcutaneous administration in rats and confirmation of conversion in vivo of CBD to THC
Tomáš Hložek,Libor Uttl,Lukáš Kadeřábek,Marie Balíková,Eva Lhotková,Rachel R. Horsley,Pavlína Nováková,Klára Šíchová,Kristýna Štefková,Filip Tylš,Martin Kuchař,Tomáš Páleníček,Tomáš Páleníček +12 more
TL;DR: Of central importance was the novel finding that THC can be detected in serum and brain after administration of CBD alone which, if confirmed in humans and given the increasing medical use of CBD-only products, might have important legal and forensic ramifications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pharmacokinetic, Ambulatory, and Hyperthermic Effects of 3,4-Methylenedioxy-N-Methylcathinone (Methylone) in Rats.
Kristýna Štefková,Monika Židková,Rachel R. Horsley,Nikola Pinterova,Klára Šíchová,Libor Uttl,Marie Balíková,Hynek Danda,Martin Kuchař,Tomáš Páleníček +9 more
TL;DR: To conclude, methylone increased exploration and/or decreased anxiety in the open field arena and with nor-methylone had short duration of action with effects typical for mixed indirect dopamine–serotonin agonists such as 3,4-metyhlenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) or amphetamine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Is there a linkage between metabolism and personality in small mammals? The root vole (Microtus oeconomus) example.
TL;DR: This study examines the relationship between the behavioral patterns (assessed in open field test) and resting metabolic rate (RMR) and shows only a weak relationship between personality traits and metabolism, and does not provide compelling support for recent ideas of close linkage between behavior and metabolism.
Journal ArticleDOI
On personality, energy metabolism and mtDNA introgression in bank voles
TL;DR: It is likely that consistent differences in behavioural patterns and mtDNA types promote variation between individuals in energy metabolism, which supports the increased-intake model and the alternative compensation model.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determining Behavioural Syndromes in Voles - The Effects of Social Environment
Petra Lantová,Petra Lantová,Klára Šíchová,František Sedláček,František Sedláček,Vojtěch Lanta +5 more
TL;DR: It seems that the development of personality traits in vole personalities is determined by the effects and structure of the family groups, whereas escape-related behaviours and maze-exploring tactic were more dependent on the affinity to the family.
