The Minnesota Living With Heart Failure Questionnaire: sensitivity to differences and responsiveness to intervention intensity in a clinical population.
Barbara Riegel,Debra K. Moser,Dale Glaser,Beverly Carlson,Christi Deaton,Rochelle Armola,Kristen A. Sethares,Martha Shively,Lorraine S. Evangelista,Nancy M. Albert +9 more
TL;DR: The Minnesota Living With Heart Failure Questionnaire is sensitive to major differences in symptom severity but may not be sensitive to subtle differences, and is responsive to high intensity interventions.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effect of a tailored message intervention on heart failure readmission rates, quality of life, and benefit and barrier beliefs in persons with heart failure.
TL;DR: A tailored message intervention changed the beliefs of the person with HF in regard to the benefits and barriers of taking medications, following a sodium-restricted diet, and self-monitoring for signs of fluid overload.
Journal ArticleDOI
Symptom clusters of heart failure.
Corrine Y. Jurgens,Corrine Y. Jurgens,Debra K. Moser,Rochelle Armola,Beverley Carlson,Kristen A. Sethares,Barbara Riegel +6 more
TL;DR: The theory of unpleasant symptoms informed the study regarding the multidimensional nature of symptoms, and factor analysis of nine items from the Minnesota Living with HF Questionnaire resulted in three factors, acute and chronic volume overload and emotional distress.
Journal ArticleDOI
Facilitators and barriers to the adoption of telehealth in older adults: an integrative review.
Marva Foster,Kristen A. Sethares +1 more
TL;DR: The use of telehealth among older adults is expected to rise, but effective adoption will be successful if the patient’s perspective is kept at the forefront and the facilitators of and barriers to telehealth are addressed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Psychometric Testing of the Revised Self-Care of Heart Failure Index
Barbara Riegel,Claudio Barbaranelli,Beverly Carlson,Kristen A. Sethares,Marguerite Daus,Debra K. Moser,Jennifer L Miller,Onome Henry Osokpo,Solim Lee,Stacey Brown,Ercole Vellone +10 more
TL;DR: The authors' analysis supports validity and reliability of the revised 29-item Self-Care of Heart Failure Index (SCHFI) with significant correlations between SCHFI scores and health-related quality-of-life scores.
