Journal ArticleDOI
Resonant two-photon ionization study of jet-cooled amino acid: L-phenylalanine and its monohydrated complex
TL;DR: In this article, L-phenylalanine (Phe), one of the aromatic amino acids, and its hydrated clusters were generated in supersonic expansion and investigated by resonant two-photon ionization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Conformation-dependent ionization energies of L-phenylalanine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Conformation-dependent ionization of l-phenylalanine: structures and energetics of cationic conformers
TL;DR: In this paper, the vertical ionization energy of l -phenylalanine was found to depend uniquely on the type of intramolecular hydrogen bonding in the neutral conformers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spectroscopic observation of conformation-dependent charge distribution in a molecular cation.
TL;DR: A prototypical case of a molecular radical cation is reported whose electrostatic charge distribution is determined entirely and uniquely by its conformational structures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparative study of charge division in substituted benzene cations.
Kang Taek Lee,Jiha Sung,Kwang Jun Lee,Hyung Min Kim,Kyu Young Han,Young Dong Park,Seong Keun Kim +6 more
TL;DR: The spatial distribution of electrostatic charge in the cation of the following benzene derivatives was investigated and it was found that the positive charge was divided into two cationic charge cores in both conformers of PEA+, while it is localized mainly on the phenyl group in PB+, PPA+, and PEAL+.
