A gold nanoparticle platform for the delivery of functional microRNAs into cancer cells.

TL;DR: A robust method for delivering unmodified microRNAs into cells on cysteamine-functionalized gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) is developed and found that the best formulation of miR(1)-AuNP(10)-S-PEG(0.5) had the highest payload, lowest toxicity, efficient uptake, and fastest endosomal escape.

Compositions and Methods for Delivery of MicroRNA to Cells

TL;DR: In this article, gold nanoparticles mediated non-viral delivery of miRNAs, siRNA duplexes, genes, and drugs are presented, along with methods for delivering one or more therapeutic agents to a cell or tissue or for treating a pathophysiological condition in a subject by delivering the combinatorial drug delivery vehicles to a subject.
