Journal ArticleDOI
In-silico approaches to detect inhibitors of the human severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus envelope protein ion channel.
Manoj K. Gupta,Sarojamma Vemula,Ravindra Donde,Gayatri Gouda,Lambodar Behera,Ramakrishna Vadde +5 more
TL;DR: Computational approaches revealed that α-helix and loops present in this protein experience random movement under optimal condition, which in turn modulate ion channel activity; thereby aiding the pathogenesis caused via SARS-CoV2 in human and other vertebrates.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pyramiding of three bacterial blight resistance genes for broad-spectrum resistance in deepwater rice variety, Jalmagna
Sharat Kumar Pradhan,Deepak Kumar Nayak,Soumya Mohanty,Lambodar Behera,Saumya Ranjan Barik,Elssa Pandit,S Lenka,Annamalai Anandan +7 more
TL;DR: The three major BB resistance genes pyramided lines exhibited high level of resistance and are expected to provide durable resistance under deep water situation where control through chemicals is less effective.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genes, pathways and transcription factors involved in seedling stage chilling stress tolerance in indica rice through RNA-Seq analysis
TL;DR: In this article, a comparative transcriptome analysis was performed to identify novel transcripts, gain new insights into different gene expression and pathways involved in cold tolerance in rice, which revealed more downregulated genes in susceptible and higher up regulated genes in tolerant genotypes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification and differentiation of indigenous non- Basmati aromatic rice genotypes of India using microsatellite markers
Raj Kumar Joshi,Lambodar Behera +1 more
TL;DR: It could be concluded that microsatellite markers could efficiently identify indigenous non- Basmati aromatic rice genotypes which can help in genetic conservation management and support intellectual property protection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification and expression analysis of miRNAs and elucidation of their role in salt tolerance in rice varieties susceptible and tolerant to salinity.
Shaifaly Parmar,Sachin Ashruba Gharat,Ravichandra Tagirasa,Tilak Chandra,Lambodar Behera,Sushant Kumar Dash,Birendra Prasad Shaw +6 more
TL;DR: High throughput sequencing of sRNAs in the root and shoot tissues of the seedlings of the control and NaCl treated Pokkali, a salt-tolerant rice variety, identified 75 conserved miRNAs and mapped 200 s RNAs to the rice genome as novel mi RNAs, indicating importance of osa-miR12477 regulated expression of LAO in salt tolerance in the plant.
