Journal ArticleDOI

Genome-wide identification and transcriptional expression analysis of mitogen-activated protein kinase and mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase genes in Capsicum annuum

TL;DR: Quantitative real-time RT-PCR analysis showed that the majority of MAPK and MAPKK genes were ubiquitously expressed and transcriptionally modified in pepper leaves after treatments with heat, salt, and Ralstonia solanacearum inoculation as well as exogenously applied salicylic acid, methyl jasmonate, ethephon, and abscisic acid.
Journal ArticleDOI

SRC2-1 is required in PcINF1-induced pepper immunity by acting as an interacting partner of PcINF1

TL;DR: Results suggest that SRC2-1 interacts with PcInF1 and is required in PcINF1-induced pepper immunity, and membrane targeting of the PcinF1/SRC2/1 complex was required for cell death induction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functional and Promoter Analysis of ChiIV3, a Chitinase of Pepper Plant, in Response to Phytophthora capsici Infection.

TL;DR: It is suggested that ChiIV3 acts as a likely antifungal protein and as a receptor for unidentified chitin in planta to trigger cell death and defense signaling against PCI.
Journal ArticleDOI

SGT1 is required in PcINF1/SRC2-1 induced pepper defense response by interacting with SRC2-1.

TL;DR: The data demonstrate that the SGT1/SRC2-1 interaction, and its nucleocytoplasmic partitioning, is involved in pepper’s immunity against P. capsici, thus providing a molecular link between Ca2+ signaling associated SRC21 and SGT 1-mediated defense signaling.
