Abordagem etnobotanica acerca do uso de plantas medicinais na Vila Cachoeira, Ilheus, Bahia, Brasil
Rita de Cássia Teixeira Moreira,Larissa Corrêa do Bomfim Costa,Renata Cristina Silva Costa,Emerson Antonio Rocha +3 more
TL;DR: The most used parts of the plants were the leaf (64%), the whole plant (13%), the fruit (8%), the bark (7%), and other parts (8%) such as latex as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Secagem e fragmentação da matéria seca no rendimento e composição do óleo essencial de capim-limão
Larissa Corrêa do Bomfim Costa,Ricardo Monteiro Corrêa,Júlio César W. Cardoso,José Eduardo Brasil Pereira Pinto,Suzan Kelly Vilela Bertolucci,Pedro Henrique Ferri +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the drying and fragmentation conditions of lemongrass leaves were determined, to increase the essential oil yield, and four replications of six treatments were studied with two drying methodologies (oven-drying at 40oC and room temperature using moisture dryer) and 3 fragmentation sizes (powder obtained in mill, 1 cm and 20 cm fragments).
Journal ArticleDOI
Light intensity on growth, leaf micromorphology and essential oil production of Ocimum gratissimum
Valéria Ferreira Fernandes,Laís B. de Almeida,Emily V.R. da S. Feijó,Delmira da Costa Silva,Rosilene Aparecida de Oliveira,Marcelo Schramm Mielke,Larissa Corrêa do Bomfim Costa +6 more
TL;DR: The essential oil yield per plant increased linearly with light intensity as a direct effect of increased leaf biomass under similar conditions, and regardless of the light level, the major component of the essential oil was eugenol.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analgesic and antidiarrheal properties of Ocimum selloi essential oil in mice.
Carolina S L Franca,Fábia S. Menezes,Larissa Corrêa do Bomfim Costa,Edenilson dos Santos Niculau,Péricles Barreto Alves,José Eduardo Brasil Pereira Pinto,Rosilene M. Marçal +6 more
TL;DR: Ocimum selloi essential oil reduced, in a dose-dependent way, the abdominal contraction induced by acetic acid and the diarrhea episodes induced by castor oil in mice, supporting the use of O. selloi against diarrhea, intestinal spasm and visceral pain.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comprimento da estaca e tipo de substrato na propagação vegetativa de atroveran
Larissa Corrêa do Bomfim Costa,José Eduardo Brasil Pereira Pinto,Suzan Kelly Vilela Bertolucci +2 more
TL;DR: The results indicated that the vegetative propagation of Ocimum selloi by cuttings is viable, once its mean rooting was over 70%.
