Heart rate and match analysis in pre-pubescent soccer players
TL;DR: Although there were no significant differences between halves or matches, running for less than 10s was 10% more frequent in the seven-a-side game, suggesting that seven- a-side matches played on smaller pitches may be more suitable for pre-pubescent soccer players.
Journal ArticleDOI
Accuracy, reliability, linearity of Accutrend and Lactate Pro versus EBIO plus analyzer.
Carlo Baldari,Valerio Bonavolontà,Gian Pietro Emerenziani,Maria Chiara Gallotta,António J. Silva,Laura Guidetti +5 more
TL;DR: AL and LP had a good reliability for intra-, inter-analyzers, and between test strips (ICC r = 0.999), and the linearity was determined versus the EP as reference, which can be individually considered suitable for the sports research field.
Journal Article
Physiological factors in middleweight boxing performance.
TL;DR: Data suggest that there are two basic factors related to boxing performance: physical fitness as indicated by individual anaerobic threshold and maximal oxygen consumption, and upper-body muscular strength as indicatedby hand-grip strength.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differences in Ventilatory Threshold for Exercise Prescription in Outpatient Diabetic and Sarcopenic Obese Subjects
Gian Pietro Emerenziani,Maria Chiara Gallotta,Silvia Migliaccio,Emanuela A. Greco,Chiara Marocco,Luca Di Lazzaro,Rachele Fornari,Andrea Lenzi,Carlo Baldari,Laura Guidetti +9 more
TL;DR: The results show that while at maximal effort there are no differences among groups, at IVT the physiological parameters are lower in T2DM subjects than in OB and SO subjects, and suggest the IVT as a useful parameter to prescribe aerobic exercise in obese with sarcopenia or diabetes mellitus conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Response to: Comment #2 on "Differences in Ventilatory Threshold for Exercise Prescription in Outpatient Diabetic and Sarcopenic Obese Subjects".
Gian Pietro Emerenziani,Maria Chiara Gallotta,Silvia Migliaccio,Emanuela A. Greco,Chiara Marocco,Luca Di Lazzaro,Rachele Fornari,Andrea Lenzi,Carlo Baldari,Laura Guidetti +9 more
TL;DR: This paper presents the results of a two-year study conducted at the University of Rome “Foro Italico” (Italy) and the Italian Academy of Sciences (Istitute of Sciences) on the basis of a diffusion-gauging machine.
