Magma Paths at Piton de la Fournaise Volcano

TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a reappraisal of the magma intrusion paths using a 17-years-long database of volcano-tectonic seismic events and a detailed mapping of the scoria cones.
Journal Article

Magma paths at Piton de la Fournaise volcano: a synthesis of Hawaiian and Etnean rift zones

TL;DR: This article used a 17-year-long database of volcano-tectonic seismic events and a detailed mapping of pyroclastic cones to determine the geometry and the dynamics of the magma paths intersecting the edifice of Piton de la Fournaise volcano, and showed that the overall plumbing system, from about 30 km depth to the surface, is composed of two structural levels that feed distinct types of rift zones.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evidence of sheared sills related to flank destabilization in a basaltic volcano

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the structure, the crystallographic and magnetic fabrics of the substratum of a debris avalanche unit, which is a complex of N50 seaward-dipping sills that has been exposed by the avalanche.
Journal ArticleDOI

Use of the environmental scanning electron microscope to investigate three polymer modified asphalts

TL;DR: In this paper, another microscopic technique using Environmental Scanning Electron Microscopy (ESEM) to investigate the morphological structures of neat polymers and commercial polymer modified asphalts is presented.
