Effect of geometric size of curved delta winglet vortex generators and tube pitch on heat transfer characteristics of fin-tube heat exchanger
TL;DR: In order to further improve the heat transfer performance of compact heat exchanger, curved delta winglet vortex generators with different geometric sizes are experimentally studied for circular tube-and-fin this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Heat transfer characteristics of a circular tube bank fin heat exchanger with fins punched curve rectangular vortex generators in the wake regions of the tubes
TL;DR: In this paper, a new type of fin is reported, on which curve rectangular vortex generators (CRVGs) are punched, and a numerical method is used to investigate the fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics of the fin.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical study of the relationship between heat transfer enhancement and absolute vorticity flux along main flow direction in a channel formed by a flat tube bank fin with vortex generators
TL;DR: In this paper, the cross-averaged absolute vorticity flux in the main flow direction is used to specify the intensity of the secondary flow produced by vortex generators that are mounted on a three-row flat tube bank fin surfaces.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental study of developing turbulent flow and heat transfer in ribbed convergent/divergent square ducts
TL;DR: In this article, the local heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of developing turbulent flows of air in three stationary ribbed square ducts have been investigated experimentally, and the results show that the divergent duct has the highest heat transfer performance, while the convergent has the lowest.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Effectiveness of Secondary Flow Produced by Vortex Generators Mounted on Both Surfaces of the Fin to Enhance Heat Transfer in a Flat Tube Bank Fin Heat Exchanger
KeWei Song,Liang-Bi Wang +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a flat tube bank fin heat exchanger with vortex generators (VGs) mounted on both surfaces of the fin was investigated for the enhancements of secondary flow intensity, convective heat transfer, and pressure drop.
