Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular dynamics simulation of microstructure evolution and heat dissipation of nanoscale friction

TL;DR: In this paper, two Ni blocks of different orientations are built to simulate the self-mate friction and the temperature and velocity profiles along the height direction, which is perpendicular to the direction of motion are calculated under sliding velocity.
Journal ArticleDOI

The performances of circular tube bank fin heat exchangers with fins punched with quadrilateral vortex generators and flow re-distributors

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the air-side heat transfer and flow friction characteristics of six fin patterns for circular tube bank fin heat exchanger, and the results reveal that the heat transfer performances of the fin with VGs and FRs are better than their counterpart plain fin.
Journal ArticleDOI

Numerical study of the fin efficiency and a modified fin efficiency formula for flat tube bank fin heat exchanger

TL;DR: In this paper, a three-dimensional numerical heat transfer analysis has been performed in order to obtain the temperature distribution and the fin efficiency using the experimentally determined local heat transfer coefficients from the naphthalene sublimation technique and heat and mass transfer analogy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of fin pitch and tube diameter on the air-side performance of tube bank fin heat exchanger with the fins punched plane and curved rectangular vortex generators

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of the fin pitch and the tube diameter on the air-side performance of the tube bank fin heat exchanger with vortex generators were investigated and compared.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mean pressure distributions around a circular cylinder in the branch of a T-junction with/without vanes

TL;DR: In this paper, the mean pressure distributions of a single circular cylinder in the branch of a T junction with and without vanes are experimentally investigated in a low-speed wind tunnel.
