Journal ArticleDOI

Combined dilute hydrochloric acid and alkaline wet oxidation pretreatment to improve sugar recovery of corn stover.

TL;DR: DA-AWO pretreatment was effective due to its sufficient hydrolysis of hemicellulose in the first stage and remarkably removal of the lignin in the second stage, resulting in high sugar recovery with a low enzyme dosage.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of removing hemicellulose and lignin synchronously under mild conditions on enzymatic hydrolysis of corn stover

TL;DR: In this article, P-toluene sulfonic acid (PTSA) was used to pretreat corn stover to improve cellulase accessibility to cellulose because of the removal of lignin and hemicellulose simultaneously, and the maximum glucose yield (67.2%) with an enzyme loading of 5FPU•g−1 substrate was achieved after the sample was the pretreated at 80°C for 10min with 71.0% PTSA.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamic viscosity and surface tension of propylene glycol containing TiO2 nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this article , the influence of nanoparticle mass concentration and temperature on the viscosity of TiO2-propylene glycol nanofluid was investigated, and the modified correlations including nanoparticle concentration were proposed respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of Nanoparticle Additives on Spray Characteristics of Liquid Jets in Gaseous Crossflow

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the macroscopic characteristics of nanofluid jets in a subsonic gaseous crossflow by focusing on the influence of nanoparticle additives on the breakup process.
