Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of dietary supplementation of phospholipids and highly unsaturated fatty acids on reproductive performance and offspring quality of Chinese mitten crab, Eriocheir sinensis (H. Milne-Edwards), female broodstock
TL;DR: Results indicated that diet included levels of PL/HUFA around 1.6/2.5 or 2.0 (% dry weight) fed female E. sinensis broodstock supported increased fecundity and elevated level of HUFA in egg, which in turn resulted in improved overall quality of newly hatched larvae.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effect of dietary n-3 HUFA levels and DHA/EPA ratios on growth, survival and osmotic stress tolerance of Chinese mitten crab Eriocheir sinensis larvae
TL;DR: Higher total n-3 HUFA levels significantly enhanced larval development (larval stage index, LSI) and resulted in higher individual dry body weight of megalopa and better tolerance to salinity stress.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biochemical composition of pond‐reared and lake‐stocked Chinese mitten crab Eriocheir sinensis (H. Milne‐Edwards) broodstock
TL;DR: The results suggest that the nutritional quality of LS crabs is better than that of PR crabs, and the nutritionalquality of males is poorer than those of females.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genetic diversity and population structure of the Chinese mitten crab Eriocheir sinensis in its native range
Liying Sui,Liying Sui,Fu-Min Zhang,Xiaomei Wang,Peter Bossier,Patrick Sorgeloos,Bernd Hänfling +6 more
TL;DR: The genetic structure of mitten crab populations in China is investigated by screening samples from ten locations covering six river systems at six microsatellite loci and it is argued that both natural and human-mediated gene flow are unlikely to fully account for the similar allele frequency distributions at micros Satellite loci.
Journal ArticleDOI
Larviculture techniques of Chinese mitten crab Eriocheir sinensis
TL;DR: General information on the hatchery techniques in aspects of broodstock maturation, spawning and larval rearing and points out the main bottlenecks of current mitten crab hatchery operations are provided.
