Journal ArticleDOI
FGF-21/FGF-21 receptor interaction and activation is determined by betaKlotho.
Alexei Kharitonenkov,James D. Dunbar,Holly A. Bina,Stuart W. Bright,Julie S. Moyers,Chen Zhang,Liyun Ding,Radmila Micanovic,Sean F. Mehrbod,Michael D. Knierman,John E. Hale,Tamer Coskun,Armen B. Shanafelt +12 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that βKlotho and FGFRs form the cognate FGF‐21 receptor complex, mediating F GF‐21 cellular specificity and physiological effects.
Journal ArticleDOI
GIPR agonism mediates weight-independent insulin sensitization by tirzepatide in obese mice.
Ricardo J. Samms,Michael E. Christe,Kyla A.L. Collins,Valentina Pirro,Brian A. Droz,Adrienne K. Holland,Jessica L. Friedrich,Samantha Wojnicki,Debra L. Konkol,Richard Cosgrove,Ellen P.S. Conceição Furber,Xiaoping Ruan,Libbey S. O’Farrell,Annie M. Long,Mridula Dogra,Jill A. Willency,Yanzhu Lin,Liyun Ding,Christine C. Cheng,Over Cabrera,Daniel A. Briere,Jorge Alsina-Fernandez,Ruth E. Gimeno,Julie S. Moyers,Tamer Coskun,Matthew P. Coghlan,Kyle W. Sloop,William C. Roell +27 more
TL;DR: Tirzepatide (LY3298176) is a dual GIP and GLP 1 receptor (GLP-1R) agonist, which delivered superior glycemic control and weight loss compared with GLP- 1R agonism in patients with type 2 diabetes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preclinical Characterization of Once Weekly Basal Insulin Fc (BIF)
Julie S. Moyers,Ryan John Hansen,Jonathan Day,Craig Duane Dickinson,Chen Zhang,Steven D. Kahl,Xiaoping Ruan,Liyun Ding,R. Brown,Hana E. Baker,John Michael Beals +10 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Internalization and localization of basal insulin peglispro in cells.
Julie S. Moyers,Catherine Volk,Julia X.C. Cao,Chen Zhang,Liyun Ding,Vladislav V. Kiselyov,M. Dodson Michael +6 more
TL;DR: Both the insulin and PEG moieties of BIL undergo a dynamic cellular process of rapid internalization and transport to early endosomes followed by loss of cellular immunostaining in a manner similar to that of insulin lispro and human insulin.
