Simpson,Miguel Sousa-Uva,Janina Stępińska,Giuseppe Tarantini,Didier Tchetche,Victor Aboyans +51 more
TL;DR: Corrigendum to ‘2017 ESC/EACTS Guidelines for the management of valvular heart disease’ [Eur J Cardiothorac Surg 2017;52:616-664]
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical significance of exercise pulmonary hypertension in secondary mitral regurgitation.
Patrizio Lancellotti,Julien Magne,Raluca Elena Dulgheru,Arnaud Ancion,Christophe Martinez,Luc Pierard +5 more
TL;DR: In patients with secondary MR, exercise PH is determined mainly by resting SPAP, left ventricular diastolic burden, and exercise MR severity, with a 5.3-fold increased risk for cardiac-related death during follow-up.
Journal ArticleDOI
Can regional strain and strain rate measurement be performed during both dobutamine and exercise echocardiography, and do regional deformation responses differ with different forms of stress testing?
Giedrius Davidavicius,Mirosław Kowalski,R.Ian Williams,Jan D'hooge,Giovanni Di Salvo,Gilbert Pierre-Justin,Piet Claus,Frank Rademakers,Marie-Christine Herregods,Alan G. Fraser,Luc Pierard,Bart Bijnens,George R. Sutherland +12 more
TL;DR: PSR/pepsilon quantification of stress echocardiography may currently be restricted to dobutamine as increased signal noise precludes adequate data acquisition during exercise.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long-term prognostic significance of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein before and after coronary angioplasty in patients with stable angina pectoris.
TL;DR: In stable coronary artery disease, inflammation is associated with long-term adverse events, but the magnitude of the inflammatory reaction after PCI appears more predictive than the baseline value.
Journal ArticleDOI
Short-and long-term prognostic importance of complete bundle-branch block complicating acute myocardial infarction
TL;DR: Among 1013 consecutive patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), 104 (10%) developed complete bundle-branch block (BBB), and the prognostic importance of BBB was more prominent during the first 6 months after infarct.
