Secondary relaxation processes in polyethylene terephthalate–additive blends: 2. Dynamic mechanical and dielectric investigations

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of low molecular weight additives on the secondary relaxation process in polyethylene terephthalate were examined and it was shown that the high temperature side of the peak is due to phenyl ring flips, whereas the low temperature side is caused by the motion of the carbonyl groups.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fourier-transform infra-red dichroism study of molecular orientation in synthetic high cis-1,4-polyisoprene and in natural rubber

TL;DR: In this article, the molecular orientation of uniaxially stretched networks of natural rubber (pale crepe) and of a synthetic polyisoprene with 92% cis-1,4 content was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Carbon-13 NMR investigation of local dynamics in compatible polymer blends

TL;DR: In this article, a compatible blend of polystyrene and polyvinyl methyl ether was studied by high-resolution solid-state 13 C NMR. Results showed the existence of local chain motions with different frequencies and temperature dependences for the two polymers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Secondary relaxation processes in polyethylene terephthalate-additive blends: 1. N.m.r. investigation

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of low-molecular weight additives on the secondary relaxation process in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) were examined using high-resolution carbon-13 and deuterium n.m. experiments.
