Journal ArticleDOI
Oxidative carbonylation of phenols catalyzed by homogeneous and heterogeneous Pd precursors
TL;DR: In this paper, a comparison between homogeneous and heterogeneous Pd-based catalysts in the presence of Co(acac)3/ligand/BQ/TBAB and molecular sieve 4A has been made in the oxidative carbonylation of phenols.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bis(alkoxycarbonyl) complexes of platinum preparation, reactivity and their role in carbonylation reactions
Giuseppe Vasapollo,Luigi Toniolo,Giovanni Cavinato,Francesco Bigoli,Maurizio Lanfranchi,Maria Angela Pellinghelli +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the reactivity of some alkoxy carbonyl complexes was investigated and the X-ray structure of [Pt(COOCH3)2(dppf] · CH3OH was also reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, characterization and catalytic activity in the carbonylation of ethene of cis-[Pd(H2O)2(PPh3)2]X2.nH2O (X=p-CH3C6H4SO3, n=2; X=CH3SO3, n=0). X-ray structure of cis-[Pd(H2O)2(PPh3)2](p-CH3C6H4SO3)2.2H2O and of cis-[Pd(H2O)2(PPh3)2](CH3SO3)2.2CH2Cl2
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the two p-toluenesulfonato units act as counter anions of a dicationic complex, in which the metal atom is surrounded in a square planar environment realized by two water molecules and two PPh3 moieties that are cis to each other.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and characterization of new formamidino and triazenidocomplexes of rhenium(I): [Re(CO)2(PPh3)2(ArNxxxXxxxNAr)] (X = CH,N)
TL;DR: In this article, the structure of these new complexes and the mode of coordination of the organonitrogen ligand are discussed on the basis of i.m.r and 1 H n.r spectra.
Journal ArticleDOI
Levulinic acid synthesis via regiospecific carbonylation of methyl vinyl ketone ob of its reaction products with hydrochloric ach) or an alkanol or of a mixture of acetone with a formaldehyde precursor catalyzed by a highly active Pd-HCl system
Gianni Cavinato,Luigi Toniolo +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a regio-specific reaction mechanism was proposed for the synthesis of Levulinic acid and its esters using a catalyzed carbonylation of (i) 3-buten-2-one, (ii) 4-alkoxy 2-butanone, and (iii) 4chlorobutanone, in the presence of water or an alkanol containing dissolved hydrochloric acid.
