Journal ArticleDOI
Lipid content and apoptosis of in vitro-produced bovine embryos as determinants of susceptibility to vitrification.
Mateus José Sudano,Daniela Martins Paschoal,T. S. Rascado,Luis Carlos Oña Magalhães,Letícia Ferrari Crocomo,J. F. Lima-Neto,Fernanda da Cruz Landim-Alvarenga +6 more
TL;DR: Using only 2.5% FCS and the addition of PES from Day 4, increased the survival of IVP embryos after vitrification, and embryo quality, represented by the fresh apoptosis rate, was better than lipid content for predicting embryo survival after vitrified embryos.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cell apoptosis and lipid content of in vitro–produced, vitrified bovine embryos treated with forskolin
Daniela Martins Paschoal,Mateus José Sudano,K. R. L. Schwarz,Rosiára Rosário Dias Maziero,M. D. Guastali,Letícia Ferrari Crocomo,Luis Carlos Oña Magalhães,A. Martins,Cláudia Lima Verde Leal,Fernanda da Cruz Landim-Alvarenga +9 more
TL;DR: It was concluded that forskolin is an effective lipolytic agent even at low concentrations, leading to formation of blastocysts with a comparatively larger number of cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Forskolin effect on the cryosurvival of in vitro-produced bovine embryos in the presence or absence of fetal calf serum.
Daniela Martins Paschoal,Mateus José Sudano,M. D. Guastali,Rosiára Rosária Dias Maziero,Letícia Ferrari Crocomo,Luis Carlos Oña Magalhães,T. S. Rascado,A. Martins,Fernanda da Cruz Landim-Alvarenga +8 more
TL;DR: The results of this experiment indicated that the omission of FCS and the addition of forskolin do not have deleterious effect on embryo production rates and embryos produced in the presence of F CS had greater sensitivity to cryopreservation, but this effect was reversed when forSkolin was added to the medium, which improved embryo survival without affecting embryo development and quality after vitrification.
Journal ArticleDOI
Crucial surviving aspects for vitrified in vitro -produced bovine embryos
Mateus José Sudano,Daniela Martins Paschoal,T. S. Rascado,Letícia Ferrari Crocomo,Luis Carlos Oña Magalhães,Alicio Martins Júnior,R. Machado,Fernanda da Cruz Landim-Alvarenga +7 more
TL;DR: The increased lipid content was moderately correlated with apoptosis in vitrified blastocysts, which indicated that the apoptosis rate in fresh embryos was a better parameter than the lipid content to predict post-vitrification embryo survival.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biochemical Profile of Amniotic and Allantoic Fluid During Different Gestational Phases in Mares
Luiz Francisco Zanella,Regina Kiomi Takahira,Cely Marini Melo e Oña,Luis Carlos Oña Magalhães,Nereu Carlos Prestes +4 more
TL;DR: The biochemical profile of both amniotic and allantoic fluids from mares during initial, mid, and latter third phases of pregnancy was determined.
