Journal ArticleDOI
Plasticized poly(lactic acid)-poly(hydroxybutyrate) (PLA-PHB) blends incorporated with catechin intended for active food-packaging applications.
Marina Patricia Arrieta,Marina Patricia Arrieta,María del Mar Castro-López,E. Rayón,Luis F. Barral-Losada,J.M. López-Vilariño,Juan López,M.V. González-Rodríguez +7 more
TL;DR: Plasticized PLA-PHB blends with catechin show their potential as biobased active packaging for fatty food by enhancing the thermal stability and the antioxidant effectiveness after the release process.
Journal ArticleDOI
Liquid chromatographic methods to analyze hindered amines light stabilizers (HALS) levels to improve safety in polyolefins
Rosalía Noguerol-Cal,J.M. López-Vilariño,Gerardo Fernández-Martínez,M. Victoria González-Rodríguez,Luis F. Barral-Losada +4 more
TL;DR: Satisfactory quality parameters of this chromatography method provided the chance to count on a good tool to know the compliance with legal requirements, and reliable determinations of monomeric units of Chimassorb 944 and molecule of Tinuvin 770 were achieved.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of an ultraperformance liquid chromatography method for improved determination of additives in polymeric materials.
Rosalía Noguerol-Cal,J.M. López-Vilariño,M. Victoria González-Rodríguez,Luis F. Barral-Losada +3 more
TL;DR: An analytical method for the simultaneous separation and quantitation of ten colorants and six antioxidants used as polymer additives has been developed by transferring chromatographic conditions from two independent HPLC methods to a single ultraperformance liquid chromatography system.
