Efficient one-pot synthesis of 14-aryl-14H-dibenzo[a,j]xanthene derivatives promoted by niobium pentachloride

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple and efficient procedure for the synthesis of 14-aryl-14H-dibenzo[a,j ]xanthene derivatives through one-pot condensation of 2-naphthol with aryl aldehydes in the presence of niobium pentachloride is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, Antioxidant and Anti-inflammatory Properties of an Apocynin- Derived Dihydrocoumarin.

TL;DR: Findings show that HCA could be an improved substitute for APO and deserves further in vivo anti-inflammatory studies, showing superior capacity as inhibitor of NADPH oxidase and antioxidant activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

New fluorescein dye derivatives and their use as an efficient photoiniator using blue light LED

TL;DR: In this article, the degree of conversion, thermal properties, and morphological features of polymers obtained using UDMA monomer and fluorescein and its derivatives dyes as photoinitiator were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multicomponent reactions mediated by NbCl5 for the synthesis of phthalonitrile-quinoline dyads: Methodology, scope, mechanistic insights and applications in phthalocyanine synthesis

TL;DR: In this article, NbCl5 was used to promote a multicomponent reaction (MCR) for the synthesis of a library of phthalonitrile-quinoline dyads, which are very useful and new functionalized building blocks for phthalocyanine (PC) synthesis.
