Continuous-Time Adaptive Critics

TL;DR: A continuous-time formulation of an adaptive critic design (ACD) is investigated, where backpropagation through time (BPTT) and real-time recurrent learning (RTRL) are prevalent and second-order actor adaptation using Newton's method is established for fast actor convergence for a general plant and critic.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Takens Embedding Theorem

TL;DR: In this paper, the Whitney embedding theorem is used in an alternative to Takens' original argument away from periodic points of small periods, and a proof that typical scalar-output linear time-invariant control systems are completely observable.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bézier curves and C2 interpolation in Riemannian manifolds

TL;DR: This work compute the endpoint velocities and (covariant) accelerations of a generalised Bezier curve of arbitrary degree and use the formulae to express the curve's control points in terms of these quantities, and shows that C^2 continuity is equivalent to a simple relationship, involving the global symmetries at knot points, between the control points of neighbouring curve segments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Null cubics and Lie quadratics

TL;DR: In this paper, a qualitative analysis of null cubics on a Riemannian manifold M satisfying a variational condition is presented, focusing on long term dynamics and internal symmetries.
