TL;DR: Novel 3-aryl-4(3H)-quinazolinone-2-carboxaldehydes, their corresponding Schiff's base and thiosemicarbazone derivatives were synthesized from the starting 5-iodo anthranilic acid and screened for some selected compounds to probe their potential anticonvulsant, analgesic, cytotoxic as well as their antimicrobial activities.

Novel 4(3H)-quinazolinones containing biologically active thiazole, pyridinone and chromene of expected antitumor and antifungal activities

TL;DR: In this article, 4(3 H )-quinazolinone derivatives with biologically active moieties were synthesized, including 2-pyridone derivatives, which showed high activity against Aspergillus ochraceus Wilhelm with inhibition zone (18 mm) compared with (20 mm) Nystatin inhibition zone.
